Although I still haven’t gotten over 2NE1’s Missing You (why it’s too early!), there’s another thing that’s making me so excited right now. As many of us would know, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is now being shown to a number of cinemas in the world, including my dear country – the Philippines.
Unfortunately, Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the gang aren’t walking the red carpet for a Philippine premiere but I heard the Los Angeles premiere was stunning in a sheer way (hihi, if you know what I mean). I checked PR Photos and saw a throng of female celebrities who definitely displayed their personal style with so much elegance. And like what I always do, I’ve put up a list of those who showed that “WOW” factor sans being too obvious.
As if J. Law isn’t done surprising us with her current transformation – I’m talking about her fantabulous pixie haircut – just yet, the actress stepped out in a Christian Dior gown from its Fall 2013 Couture collection, showing some skin. I’m commending J. Law for pulling off a fashion risk that only a few fashionable ladies can do. She wore a black bodysuit underneath and a black belt as she carried a Roger Vivier clutch. Completing her look is a pink lip color and her talked about cropped hairstyle. It’s official, I love J. Law!
Second on my list is the gorgeous Jena Malone, who was clad in a Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress that looked ravishing on her. That’s not even the exciting part! The dress with silver and gold embellishments is an illusion dress after all. It looks as if she’s almost nude from afar, but looking closely, you can see that it lets your imagination go wild. I think Jena’s blonde straight hair is the perfect hairdo for this kind of look as she also rocked the thick eyebrow trend. Her fuss-free makeup is just enough for her already-sparkling outfit.
The sheer trend goes on with Bella Thorne’s Blumarine dress with floral accents and a nude strapless corset underneath. I have nothing against the dress for I’d love to put it on someday, but her “messy” braid just didn’t go well with the theme of her look. Forgive me for this! It would’ve looked better if she styled her hair in a sleek braid like that of Fan Bingbing’s at the 66th Cannes Film Festival. Bella’s simple makeup is nice and I like the fact that she accessorized her outfit with a gold bracelet.
Who stood out among these three lovely ladies? Come on, I want to hear it! 🙂
