Happy Chinese New Year, dearies! No matter how you celebrated the special holiday, it’s important to give thanks for the blessings you’ve received the past year and welcome the new year with positivism. Last Friday, my good friend Mica and I met at SM Megamall for our two-day Tagaytay trip. It’s a common thing for us to wander around the mall and hit beauty boutiques. Originally, we were supposed to visit this particular store but we ended up going inside Nature Republic instead.
Because of the sales clerk’s constant encouragement about their card, Mica and I didn’t have a choice so we purchased at least P2000 just to acquire it. According to the lady, aside from the fact that the card entitles us to 10% discount every time we buy, it doesn’t expire at all. Now, that’s fantabulous! Let me share with you the things we got from one of the top South Korean beauty brands.
If you’ve read my past beauty posts, you’d see how much I love green tea, especially when it has something to do with my skin. But the time has come for me to explore other options that are still organic and fit to my stressed skin. I found this Aloe Vera foam cleaner, which comes in a 150 ml container, and learned that it soothes and moisturizes the skin. Should I blog about this? 🙂
Since Mica and I are both facial mask fans, we opted for these Given By Nature mask sheets. I went for bamboo (energizes the skin) and aloe vera (soothes and hydrates the skin) while she bought the orange (moisturizes and brightens the skin) one. They are a bit cheaper than the other masks I’ve tried. I can’t wait to use this while finishing the book I’m reading now.
I’ve always wanted to try putting a mask on my feet. Although I rarely wear heels, I walk a lot so I guess giving my feet some pampering is just worth it. Nature Republic’s Peeling Foot Mask promises to remove stubborn calluses and thick toughened heels. I’m yet to try this one. 🙂
One of the many things I hate about dirt is that they stay inside the pores of my nose. I hope this Clear Charcoal Nose Pack removes the unwanted (when did it become wanted anyway?) black heads on my nose. I’ll definitely get more of these if that happens.
With the help of Botanical Cake Eyebrow, I pray that I’ll have the strength to draw my eyebrows perfectly. Some girls will agree when I say that putting makeup on requires effort and good skills. Also, a keen eye is needed to spot the imperfections such as disproportionate eyebrows and eyeliner.
This By Flower Powder Pact is Mica’s. She’s always on-the-go so a trusty powder pact like this is what she needs. Besides, freshening up using a soft sponge is better than putting on BB/CC cream when your makeup fades.
The main star of our Nature Republic haul is the Botanical Fresh BB Cream Set. Comes in a brown box, this set features three (3) BB creams filled with organic active ingredients such as chamomile, linden flower, and lavender extracts. I used the middle one yesterday and I can say that I’d have to stick with it for the meantime.
We got a few freebies from Nature Republic! We were able to take home Snail Solution and Argan 20° mask sheets. And yes, you’re seeing the popular 12-member Korean boy group EXO on the other mask sheet. Hello there, Chanyeol! 🙂
To top it all, we had the chance to bring EXO home. Okay, I’m kidding! This poster was given to us by the Nature Republic ladies after we paid for everything. This is already posted on Mica’s wall inside her room. Who’s your favorite EXO member?
Should I go back and buy more Nature Republic products? Y-E-S! 🙂
