When traveling, I tend to bring a lot of makeup even if I’m not going to use ALL OF THEM. Hey, it’s better to be safe than sorry! Anyway, when my mother handed me this Clarins Makeup Palette Travel Exclusive, I got too giddy that I almost painted my face with the new members of my makeup family. Instead of a tutorial, which I’m working on, here’s a review of this kit in case you’re looking for your next travel buddy.
I’m too picky when it comes to mascaras. They are supposed to make your eyelashes look longer and fuller sans the heavy, uncomfortable feeling. This particular mascara is so-so as it doesn’t give your lashes a sticky feeling, but it’s far from effective when it comes to emphasizing them. If you’re okay with not showing off your luscious lashes, then you can just throw this in your purse. Plus, I’m not a fan of its strong scent.
As for the lip gloss, you can glide this on your lips for a “pretty in pink” look. It has a creamy consistency, making it easier to apply. Although it doesn’t really hydrate your pucker, the shade is good enough to be worn at a GNO.
I have to say that my favorite part of this travel kit is the eyeshadow palette. From gray to cream, the array of shimmering shades looks nice especially during weddings. They may not be pigmented since you have to put on layers of this powdery eyeshadow, but you can always create different looks out of the shades available.
How do I even explain the blush? This peachy pink shade makes it a makeup essential this summer. It gives you that natural finish once applied on your cheeks. The powder is perfect as a highlighter since it sparkles with glamour.
What do you think? Will you consider packing this on your next trip?
