I was never a fan of beauty or skincare until a few years ago a.k.a. the birth of Korean beauty craze. From BB creams to aloe vera soothing gels, it took me months before I finally gave in the trend and went gaga over certain beauty brands from South Korea.
There’s something about these K-beauty fads that I find amazing. Despite the uncountable steps to achieving bright, healthy skin – like that of Song Hye Kyo’s (future Mrs. Song Joong Ki), I can’t help but gush about how effective the Koreans’ beauty or skincare regime is. Trust me, the products below are the reasons why I keep coming back to Nature Republic.
Real Nature Mask Sheet in Bamboo
Before I delve into the details on how this particular mask sheet helps in balancing the moisture of my skin, I want you to know that mask sheets in South Korea are pretty much “freebies.” Unlike here in the Philippines, mask sheets are being given away to customers to lure them inside the stores even if they don’t buy anything AT ALL. That’s how generous Koreans are!
Anyway, after hoarding mask sheets from my #Seoulscapade last year, I began falling in love with this Real Nature Mask Sheet in Bamboo. Aside from its hydrating power, bamboo extract “reinforces the skin’s moisture balance” so it actually helps in keeping your skin in its softest, most supple state. My piece of advice: let it cool in the fridge before putting it on your face. You can thank me later. 😉
Bamboo Charcoal Mud Pack
Bamboo is definitely my favorite natural beauty ingredient next to green tea. Some may think that charcoal mud pack is the last thing they want to put on their face, well, because of “mud.” However, mud is what makes it powerful. For starters, this gentle-on-the-skin mud pack helps in getting rid of BLACKHEADS (because they are no joke!) and WHITEHEADS. In addition, it gives off a clearer complexion so your skin feels refreshed as if it’s brand new.
I use this every Sunday so I can prep my skin for the upcoming work week. Don’t forget to wash it off after 20 minutes!
Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel
Where do I even begin? Okay, you see, gel tubs are still in the K-beauty race and they don’t seem to be backing down anytime soon. I became conscious about moisturizing my face before putting makeup on and before going to sleep because of this best seller. Obviously, it is infused with 92% aloe vera leaf extract which makes it a fast-absorbing gel, and it has a thousand benefits for you – from head to toe.
